This page explains what information this checkout service collects when you complete an order that started on one of our online stores, and how it is used.
What we collect
- Order details — the items, quantities and prices you are purchasing, the currency, and any discount code you apply.
- Contact and delivery details — name, email address, phone number, shipping address and, if different, billing address. These are needed to confirm and ship your order.
- Payment references — the payment method you choose and the reference needed to match your payment to your order (for example an order reference included with a bank transfer, or a cryptocurrency invoice identifier). We do not receive or store card numbers or bank login details.
- Technical information — IP address, browser type, and a first-party cookie that lets us keep your checkout session together if you refresh the page or return to it. If you reached a store through an online advertisement, the advertising click identifier may be passed along so that the store can measure which advertisements lead to completed orders.
How it is used
- To process your order, match your payment, and send you confirmation emails.
- To create the corresponding order in the store you purchased from, so the store can fulfil and ship it.
- To prevent fraud and abuse of the checkout.
- To measure advertising effectiveness in aggregate.
Who it is shared with
Your order and contact details are shared with the store you purchased from, with the shipping carrier used to deliver your order, and with the email delivery service that sends your confirmations. Payment references are shared with the payment provider for the method you chose. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
Order records are kept for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet accounting and legal obligations. Cookies used for the checkout session expire automatically.
Your choices
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about an order, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted where we are not required to keep it. Contact support@pepscustomercare.com with your order reference.
